Elvis va alla stazione radio WDIA Goodwill Review e, ancora una volta è molto cordiale. Ha con se una foto dei suoi eroi, Little Junior Parker e Bobby Bland. Il giorno dopo la stampa parla di lui e riporta ciò che lui ha detto “La loro musica è una cosa vera che parte dritta dal cuore”

Elvis inizia le lezioni di karate con Jurgen Seydel. Mr. Seydel è conosciuto come il “padre del karate tedesco”. Questo sport è una disciplina di cui Elvis rimane molto affascinato, sin da quando legge un articolo su Hank Slamasky,un ex marine è diventato un pioniere dell’insegnamento quand’era soldato. Elvis prenderà lezioni da Mr. Seydel due volte alla settimana, fino al suo ritorno negli States.
